  • March 14, 2019 - Sunny days make me so happy..

I never know how much a sunny day could make me so excited. I become a kid and imagine how much creative opportunities, mishaps and chances I’m willing to take with art.

I spent the morning playing with linen once again and the cyanotype process. I’ll be ordering some silk and other fabric soon.

  • March 11, 2019 - Printing on a cloudy day..

The weather in Arizona this winter has been cloudy, raining and even snowy. It’s hard to do work when my process relies heavily on the sun. Yesterday I spent the morning preparing my paper and some linen in hopes that I would be able to print while the sun was shining. Quickly the clouds set in and I decided to wait until today to give it a try. The sun was out earlier but once again the clouds have decided to visit. I know that uva rays are still powerful even on a cloudy day so I decided to see how much time I need to leave some linen out to develop instead.

The first print was left outside for 25 minutes and the second one for 40 minutes.

  • February 15, 2019 - Germany here I come..

Last December I received an email to participate in a 14 week tour throughout Germany. After many nights and weekends of planning and printing out my prints this weekend I was able to photography them. They are packed and in the mail.

  • February 2nd, 2019 - Thank You
Wow what an amazing first part of the year it's been for me and my art. At the end of 2018 I was busy working on my show “The Wonder of Nature” held on January 15th and February 1st of this year. It was so much fun meeting everyone and sharing what I do as an artist.

I want to say Thank You to all my friends who help me with my show. It’s the little things such as selecting prints, double checking the flyer and math that always needs an extra eye. I appreciate the laughter, putting with my tiredness and silliness. I could not have archived this without an amazing group of friends to support me.

Craving a new linoleum plate, JAN 09, 2019
Starting working on a new linoleum plate the other day. This one has been in the drawer for a while waiting for me to start craving. I’m glad I took it out for it is nice to be working on familiar material.

I came across a printmaking lunar exhibit entry and thought I would try and create a print. After reviewing my design, purchasing the materials I set out to crave and print the image only to discover that I might have taken a little more on my plate than I had time for. I missed the submission
